Green World Trust was established by Dr. Kalinga Padmalal and Prasad Siriwardena, driven by a mutual passion for environmental conservation. Their combined expertise in academia, business, and environmental activism propels our mission to protect our planet’s natural splendor and biodiversity.
Devoted Environmental Educator and Conservationist
Dr. Padmalal has committed over two decades to wildlife and environmental conservation, marking significant impacts as a Senior Lecturer at the Open University of Sri Lanka and as a consultant on national biodiversity projects. His work encompasses wildlife management, eco-tourism, and environmental policy, underscored by his academic achievements: a BSc in Biological Science, an M.Sc. in Environmental Science, and a D.Sc in Wildlife Biology.
Visionary Business Leader and Environmental Advocate
Prasad combines business acumen with a deep commitment to environmental advocacy. His diverse background spans several key sectors, enhancing his approach to sustainable development. As a fervent wildlife conservationist and photographer, he leverages his art to heighten environmental consciousness. His academic journey includes an MBA from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and an MSc in Environmental Science from the Open University of Sri Lanka, alongside his ongoing doctoral studies focused on Business Process Management and AI.
